Just a little information about Dramatic Design and myself…
My name is Kim Smith and I am the owner and operator of Dramatic Design. I opened my doors in January of 2000 and have been helping small business owners create or improve their online presence ever since! I love working with other small business owners. They have such energy and passion for what they do! I love what I do and the fact that what I do can help their business to succeed! I am always looking for opportunities to help more people with the skills I have developed over the years.
In addition to building and maintaining websites, I also do Marketing Consultation for small business owners. Having worked with dozens of small business owners over two decades, I have learned to speak their language and more importantly, I have learned which marketing strategies work for them! I can advise you about your online marketing efforts, as well as your offline steps.
Marketing has changed in the past few years with the emergence of social networking. People are no longer satisfied to make decisions based on “advertising,” which is more about brand recognition than it is about building a relationship with potential customers. You have to meet your potential clients where they are and be interactive. I believe that good and successful companies have really always done this, so to me, it’s ironic that it’s called “the new marketing”.
One of the great boosts for my business over the last few years has been my involvement in a BNI group (Business Networking International). The first year after joining, my business DOUBLED! In the second year, I saw another increase of about 27% from that doubled figure! My BNI membership has accounted for at least 50% of my business income every year since then! Yes, there were a few other things I had changed to improve my business over that time, but the majority of my new business could be attributed to word-of-mouth referrals and most of that was from my involvement in BNI. Our Chapter Passed $1.6M in the past 12 months! Now, obviously, I can’t guarantee that you will see the dramatic growth that I did, but if you use the system that BNI lays out for its members, it will probably pay off for you, too!
